The U.S. Marshals Service in Iowa announced that 21 children were found and seven children were recovered as part of Operation Homecoming. According to the federal law enforcement agency, the children were between the ages of 4 and 17, and are “some of the most at-risk and challenging recovery cases in the area, based on indications of high-risk factors such as exposure to narcotics, child exploitation, physical or sexual abuse, and medical or mental health conditions.” The missing Iowa children were located in nine other states, including Arizona, Nebraska, Minnesota, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana, the U.S. Marshals stated in a March 23 news release.
