The M-B A 220 is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four turbo engine that cranks out 188 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. The engine power is regulated through a 7G-DCT 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The drivetrain enables the A 220 to run the 0-60 sprint in 6.1 seconds. At the same time, the A 220 achieves a fuel consumption rating of 25 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway for a combined average of 28 mpg. The engine was more than adequate, but engine noise is on the loud side, especially when idling. The A 220 comes with a large selection of standard equipment, like panoramic roof, eight-way power adjustable front seats with MB-Tex simulated leather upholstery, 7-inch touchscreen multimedia display, plus auto-dimming rearview and driver-side mirrors.
