Authorities in Indiana arrested 20 suspects in connection with child sex crimes following a three-day sting operation that involved multiple agencies, officials said.
The joint sting operation was executed in conjunction with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) and the City of Franklin Police Department between Nov. 1 and Nov. 3, according to an online statement published on Friday.
Police said this was the fourth time that such an operation of this type has been conducted in Johnson County over the past two and a half years.
“During the course of this operation, we dealt with many different people and situations. The conversations that are had prior to the suspects arriving at the target location are very troubling. The requests that are made to the Investigators posing as underage children are also very troubling and disturbing,” Johnson County Sheriff Duane E. Burgess and Franklin chief of police Kirby Cochran wrote in the joint statement….
