Two senior citizens in a minivan died after speeding into oncoming traffic and colliding with three other vehicles in Westminster Feb. 6, authorities said.
Police responded around 12:51 p.m., finding an “older unknown type” of minivan was speeding northbound in the southbound lanes when the collision happened on the 14500 block of Beach Boulevard, near Hazard Avenue, according to the Westminster Police Department.
The minivan’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead, police said.
The two victims were an 80- to 85-year-old man and a 70- to 75-year-old woman, both from Westminster, police said. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin….
