Two fugitives charged with murder and attempted murder in separate cases in Riverside County, California, were arrested in Mexico and extradited to the United States, authorities announced Feb. 15.
Lorenzo Castellanos, 72, a Mexican citizen, was arrested in Mexico by the U.S. Marshals Service, according to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.
The DA’s Office said it extradited Castellanos to the county to face trial.
He is charged with murder and child endangerment for a crime that was committed in Rubidoux in January 2001. He allegedly stabbed his girlfriend, with whom he has a child, numerous times and killed her, according to the DA’s Office….
