Federal authorities confirmed two people died in a light aircraft crash in central Texas on Sunday.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement that two were on board theĀ Airborne Windsports Edge 912 weight-shift control aircraft when it crashed about 60 miles northwest of Austin, the capital, in the town of Granite Shoals.
The FAA told local news outlets that it and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
“An Airborne Windsports Edge 912 weight-shift control aircraft crashed in Granite Shoals, Texas, around 7:00 a.m. local time today. Two people were on board. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide additional updates,” the agency said in full….
