A collision involving an alleged wrong-way driver in Lake Balboa left a 60-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy dead and four other people injured, authorities said June 30.
The collision was reported around 9:35 p.m. on June 29 on Woodley Avenue north of Burbank Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
According to police, a white 2014 Honda Accord with two occupants was northbound on Woodley Avenue “when it veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a gray 2020 Honda Civic [that was southbound].”
The occupants of the Accord were transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics for hospital treatment. The driver, a man in his 30s, suffered critical injuries and the passenger, a woman in her 30s, suffered moderate injuries, police said….
