A truck loaded with more than 100 kilograms of cocaine worth an estimated $12 million has been seized by police in Brantford, Ontario. The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) intercepted a tractor-trailer belonging to a company based in Milton, Ontario, on Dec. 4, as it was reentering Canada from the United States through the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, Ontario, according to a news release issued Dec. 9. “A search of the trailer yielded a seizure of approximately 112 kilograms of cocaine, having a street value of approximately $12 million,” the statement from Brantford police said. https://twitter.com/BrantfordPolice/status/1468943542471081997 The seizure was a result of a drug investigation led by the Brantford Police Service in early 2021, which was funded by the Ontario government and received assistance from the CBSA and Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario.
