Siu Yick-tung, an 11-year-old girl from Hong Kong, was admitted to hospital with chest pains three weeks after receiving the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination. She was later diagnosed with myocarditis. Siu’s condition deteriorated sharply at the time, and she had to be admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
Siu’s aunt posted updates on social media on the morning of July 9, 2022, that after being in the hospital for a month, the 11-year-old could finally be discharged and return home on July 8, 2022.
Siu thanked everyone who had been cheering for her health via her aunt: “I am much better now. Even the doctor said that my recovery was progressing quickly. Thank you all, and you don’t have to worry about me anymore.”…
