From the late 1970s to the 1990s, a variety of Chinese qigong masters came out to teach qigong practices, and many Chinese people developed the habit of going to the park in the morning to practice qigong, which was the emergence of the “qigong fever.”

Later, qigong spread from China to the West, such as the widespread practice called Falun Gong (aka Falun Dafa). Most of these qigong and yoga practices originated from the Buddha school.
